7 Simple but Unbelievably Effective Homemade Acne Cleansers …

Let’s be real, fighting Acne is a pain, but these 7 Homemade acne cleansers are safe for your skin, easy on the wallet, and just overall awesome. The good thing about home acne treatments is they often use natural products instead of harsh chemicals found in over-the-counter or prescription acne treatments, making them ideal for sensitive skin. So, if you want to learn to make your own home acne treatments, keep reading!

1. Olive Oil

I know it seems crazy to put oil on your already oily acne prone skin. Olive oil has been used for many years as a cleanser and works wonders as home acne treatment. For best results pour a small amount of olive oil onto your hands and massage deeply into the skin. Allow the oil to sit for at least 3 minutes, then place a steamy towel over the face. The Steam will help pull impurities out of your pores. After the towel cools use it to wipe away the remaining oil.

2. Castor Oil

Castor oil works the same way as olive oil for a home acne cleanser. The reason why these oils work as facial cleansers is because skin naturally contains oil. Many of the cleanser we buy are branded as “oil-free.” water doesn’t dissolve oil, oil dissolves oil. When the oils from the skin are removed, the body creates even more oil creating oily skin, or it may react by not creating any oil and thus leaving your skin dry. It makes sense to use oil to help gently remove the dirt and oil from your face to help clear acne.

3. Baking Soda

Baking soda works two ways as an at home acne treatment. First it exfoliates the skin by buffing away dead skin and opening up clogged pores. Another way is the alkaline substance of baking soda kills off bacteria in the skin that causes acne. To use baking soda, wet your face and then create a paste with baking soda and water in your hand. Massage the paste into your face gently for one minute. Finish by rinsing with cool water and patting dry.

4. Oatmeal

Oatmeal is not only good for your body, it does wonders for you skin too. Oatmeal is naturally high in vitamins which makes it perfect to reduce redness and inflammation caused by acne. Create your own at acne treatment by soaking ? a cup of oatmeal in 1 cup of boiling water. After the oatmeal mixture has cooled, apply it to your face and gently massage the skin. After one to two minutes rinse off the oatmeal.

5. Honey

Honey is another terrific at home acne treatment. Honey contains antibacterial properties and can help hydrate the skin. You can create a Simple honey mask just by massaging natural honey into the skin and allowing it to sit for 15 to 30 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. One way to enjoy this mask is to apply it before soaking in a warm bath after a long day at work for a little rest and relaxation.

6. Steaming

Steam opens the pores and allows the impurities to escape. Boil a pot of water and then let it cool for a few minutes. Hang your face over the cooled pot of water with a towel draped over your head to trap the steam in. After 10 minutes you can remove the towel and dry the steam off your face.

7. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has been used as an at home cure for many different things over the years. Because apple cider vinegar is unprocessed and contains many natural properties it works wonders as an at home Acne treatment. To use, mix one part apple cider vinegar with 3 parts water. Dab the mixture onto the face with a cotton ball. Using home acne treatments is so much better for your skin. And as you can see, there are many ways to treat acne naturally at home. Tricks To fall Asleep can come in handy on those restless nights. Sometimes falling asleep can be a real chore! You try, but no matter how many sheep you count or how many times you roll over, you still just can’t drift off to la-la land. Well, the good news is, there are some tricks to fall asleep you should try that can help! I know, because they have worked for me many times. Here is my top tricks to fall asleep you should try! You will be sleeping like a little baby in no time at all!

1. Get Active

If you lay around all day and do nothing to tire yourself out, of course you won’t be sleepy at night! Get active and do some things to make yourself tired. Exercise is a good place to start, not only because it will wear you out, but exercise promotes healthy sleeping patterns and physical fitness. So get to the gym or take a light jog through the park!

2. Sleep Tight

My husband and I employ this trick to fall asleep and it works like a charm! A few minutes before heading to bed, turn your AC down low. You will sleep better in a cooler temperature! You can also have a fan or two blowing on you as you drift off for maximum effect.

3. Relax

Before trying to fall asleep, it’s important to wind down for the evening. Do something that relaxes you. Some people like to read, others like to meditate or watch television. Try taking a warm bath or shower to help your muscles relax, and maybe rub on a lavender scented lotion to soothe your senses.

4. Food for Thought

There are certain foods you should avoid close to bedtime. Obviously anything with caffeine will get you wired up and make it difficult to fall asleep! it’s also important not to eat too heavy of a meal or anything that might be hard to digest late in the evening. Digestion will keep a good many people up throughout the night!

5. Lights Out

One of the Tricks to fall asleep that I absolutely must use is making sure all the lights are turned out. I don’t even like a night light when I’m sleeping! Many people find it best to fall asleep in a completely dark room. Turn off all TV’s phones, computers and lamps before laying down. If you have windows, hang up blinds to block out all the lights. The sand man will visit you in no time!

6. Avoid Tension

It can be hard to fall asleep when you feel tense and wired up. It’s a good idea to refrain from watching a scary movie, reading and intense book, or taking part in any heated discussions before bed. Try to calm your mind and only think of relaxing, quiet thoughts.

7. Have Some Tea

Having a cup of warm tea is a nice way to unwind before bed time, and it’s a great trick to fall asleep! Chamomile tea is high in nerve and muscle relaxing calcium, so it’s a great tea to sip on before you try to sleep. But if you don’t have chamomile on hand, a cup of regular decaffeinated tea with some honey or peppermint oil in it will calm you down on its own!

8. Establish a Routine

Having a routine, a set waking and sleeping pattern, is one of the very best Tricks to fall asleep of all. Try to start going to bed and waking up at the same time at least 5 days out of the week if at all possible. Your body will start recognizing this pattern and following it naturally! 7 Reasons to Feel Good about Yourself …

Feel good about yourself by changing your habits, having a positive outlook, and embracing all your unique quirks and traits. Sometimes feeling good about Yourself can be really hard, though. We see our differences and our failures and overlook the good. It’s this type of self-deprecating behavior that stops us from feeling good about ourselves. Instead we need to embrace, appreciate, and celebrate even the smallest victories.  Here are some wonderful reasons for you to feel great about yourself.

rences

We’ve all been made differently. Some of us are short, some tall. Some of us have bright blue eyes, others have beautiful brown, green, or grey eyes. Some of us have a sense of humor and some of us are full of quirks. Whatever your difference is, embrace it full-heartedly. It’s these differences that separate you from the crowd and make you unique. Feeling good about yourself means owning them and loving them.

2. Appreciate Your Freedom

We live in a country full of freedoms. In other countries women don’t share the same rights as us. Freedom and the feminist movement is one reason to feel good about yourself. Rejoice in the fact that as a woman you can make your own choices, support and provide for your family, and show your strength and wisdom.

3. Know Your Limits

We all have limits. Sometimes breaking those limits is good, but sometimes going past your limits is very bad. For example, if you think your limit is running 7MPH on the treadmill and you manage to up it to 9MPH, then congratulations. That’s awesome and you should really feel good about yourself. On the other hand, if you know your limit is two glasses of wine and you press your limit and polish off an entire bottle, chances are you not going to feel so good about the next day.

4. Respect Others

How we treat others says a lot about how we feel about ourselves. It also controls how others feel and treat us. For this reason it is important to treat everyone with respect. Even if you don’t like a person, or agree with their values, you should still treat them with respect. Trust me, it will make you feel great about Yourself.

5. Love Fully

If you’ve been heart broken, hurt and confused by love you probably feel a little jaded. Don’t let your past hurts control you. When you open your heart and love fully, you allow others to come in and love you back in a bigger deeper way. I’m sure you will agree feeling that kind of love lets you feel good about yourself.

6. Dream

Don’t ever stop dreaming. Always embrace new hopes and wants for the future. Sometimes your imagination puts together these strange, crazy plans that you could never see becoming a reality. However, with that imagination and your amazing ability anything is possible.

7. Celebrate Each Victory

Setting goals and working hard to achieve them is a real feat. Sometimes our desires are so big we can’t see the end light. This is why we must celebrate even the smallest victory. If you are struggling to lose 50 pounds, then losing 5 pounds may not be your goal, but you are 10 percent closer and that’s a reason to celebrate.
You see, there really are so many reasons to feel good about yourself. Each of has something that makes us special or a goal we’ve reached or made progress on that is worth celebrating. What are some of the reasons you feel great about Yourself?

8 Ways to Start Your Day Fresh and Focused …

8 Ways to Start Your Day Fresh and Focused …
You should always start your day feeling refreshed, alert and Focused. It iss critical to your daily performance and mental health but it doesn’t always come naturally and some times it’s harder than at others. If you have trouble focusing during the day or feel worn out easily, it might be because you did not start the day on the right foot. Even if you’re not a morning person, try following these 8 Ways to Start Your Day Fresh and Focused. You can improve how you feel from the very moment you wake up.

1. Eat Breakfast

It is well known that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If you skip out on breakfast, you’ll feel worn out because the last meal you had was probably last night’s dinner. Start the day with a healthy breakfast that energizes you and prevents you from snacking until lunchtime.

2. Avoid Caffeine

This may be hard, especially if you’ve been relying on your morning coffee to kick start the day. However, coffee is a diuretic, meaning you’ll encourage your body to lose fluids. Similarly to how you need food after a night’s sleep, your body needs to be rehydrated. Drinking water, Fresh orange or grapefruit juice will be a better. Also, hot water with honey, lemon and ginger helps circulation and is a great immunity booster as well.

3. Exercise

It can be as easy as a few stretches or a light jog on the spot in your bedroom. Or if you’re into more strenuous exercise, a good several mile run will definitely boost your serotonin levels. Start the day getting your body moving; it pumps the blood, activates your metabolism and uplifts your mind.

4. Deep Breathing

When you first get out of bed, take a deep breath and exhale at a rate twice as long as your inhale. This is a slow and comprehensive way of breathing that relaxes your mind. This is particularly beneficial if you have an upcoming day you’re feeling stressed or anxious about.

5. Calm Your Surroundings

Nobody likes to misplace things under a huge pile of mess. If your bedroom is cluttered and full of disorderly piles, hunks and junk, then it’s likely your mind will feel the same. Try to keep your bedroom as neat as possible for a sense of order and control. This will allow your brain to focus on the constants in your life.

6. Rethink Your Bedroom’s Color Schemes

Your environment influences the mood you are in and your brain’s processes. Certain colors, like yellows, help to lift your mood. Think about the d?cor in your room and try redecorating to make your bedroom an uplifting and calm place to wake up to.

7. Distance Your Alarm Clock

This is a cheeky trick you can play on yourself. Instead of keeping your clock nearby where the ‘snooze’ button easily accessible, try putting it on the other side of the room, or, even a distance far away enough to make you have to stretch to reach it. If you do this, then you’re already on your way to exercising your body!

8. Maintain a Good Posture

Maintaining a proper body position is vital for effective blood flow, which you need to start the day effectively. Straighten your body, with your feet flat on the floor, hold in your stomach and extend your body through the spine to relieve tension. If you stand right, you’ll walk right and that’ll make you think right. So these are some simple and helpful tips to start the day feeling Fresh and Focused. They are small changes that can improve your mood and productivity. Say goodbye to feeling blurry and dull-headed, and say hello to being bright-eyed and bushy tailed!
