How to give a good impression with your style!

How to give a good impression with your style!
fashion is just one important part of a girl’s life. Without fashion we wouldn’t be able to leave a good impression on our crush, interviewer or anyone else we happen to meet. We want to look admirable to give that first impression without any words. Lets face it, when you look good its easier to appear as valuable. And do you know why it’s easier? It’s because we feel more confident in ourselves when we are well-dressed! But just like anything else, fashion has its dos and don’t s. Here are some basic but essential guidelines to follow:

1. Be Classy!

Don’t go wearing the shortest skirt or the tightest dress just because you heard that less is more. Trust me this saying does not make you come across as classy. Wear enough clothes so you look modest but flaunt your features at the same time. For example if you have long legs wear a skirt above the knee and lengthen those legs with a pair of heels.

2. Wear what suits you

This standard is pretty simple. Wear something that flatters your body shape. If you have an hourglass figure wear a dress with a waist belt to accentuate your figure. Also wear something that YOU are comfortable in. If the new trend is frilly dresses and you don’t like frills, don’t follow the trend. If you’re not comfortable in what you’re wearing, you’re not going to feel confident. So ditch the trend, cause you will rock whatever look!

3. Hide what you don’t have

This might sound a little harsh. You may like your classy *ss or your juicy breasts but sometimes flaunting them too much won’t give you the respect you deserve. If you’re going to a wedding or a formal work party you shouldn’t wear a push-up bra if you’re an E cup. Trust me, they are good enough without the push-up bra. Instead of wearing a v-neck dress to make your breasts appear larger, wear a one-shoulder dress that covers your cleavage so that not all the attention goes to your boobs. It might be a little uncomfortable talking to your handsome boss when he’s looking at your boobs.

4. Dress for the occasion

Quick and easy. You wouldn’t wear a full length dress to your gym class; that’s a little strange. If you want to give a splendid impression on your first date with a cute guy, dress for the occasion. Don’t wear heels if you know you love birds will be walking around all day and don’t wear jeans and a casual top to a fancy dinner date in the city.

5. Accessorize!

Accessorize is a magic word. You can make a casual dress look so much more glamorous with a pretty necklace, make a contrast with colors and by mix and matching different textured fabrics! You can never go wrong with a cute beret to give your look a French feel. Without accessories, there would be no style.
So ladies if you follow my top 5 tips, you are guaranteed success!

7 Music Videos You Will Love …

7 Music Videos You Will Love …
Music Videos are a very big part of our culture as humans. I’m sure that not everyone will agree with me on that, but when you stop to think about it, it’s true! There can be so much emotion and passion in one music video. Music alone is powerful, but when you add faces and stories behind it you get a whole new aspect on the song. And thats what music videos do! I’ve made a list of my personal favorite music videos, and I’m sure that you will love them as much as I do!

I am proud to stand and say that I’m an american citizen and my prayer is that every American can say that! This is one of my favorite music videos because it is powerful and has a strong meaning behind it! Every country in this world has beauty and is different in its own way but America is the land of opportunity. I encourage each American citizen to watch this music video!

2. Who Are You When I’m Not Looking

We all love a good love song, and this is one song that you can relate to as a woman. Whether you are the women who burned the toast, bit off your nails, or soaked in the tub after a long hard day, this song can speak to you on a personal level. I believe this music video shows that men look for those imperfect qualities in us, and love us for them.

3. Mama’s Song

I love this song so much that I actually had it at my wedding! This is one of the few music videos that can make me cry nearly every time I see it. Just watch it and you will know exactly what I mean, especially if you have a close relationship with your mother.

4. I Pray For You

This music video has a humorous take on breaking up, but in reality we can all relate! I know I’ve had my fair share of moments that I have wanted to dedicate this song to “friends” i’ve had over the years. Watch it for a good laugh if nothing more!

5. You’re Gonna Miss This

No matter how anxious, ready or exciting it is to move out on your own and constantly be looking to the future, this music video is a great reminder to remember to enjoy each phase of your life as it comes. Time goes by so quickly, and it’s not something you can get back so enjoy it while it’s on your side. Warning: Keep tissues handy on this one! Don’t you love music videos that make you cry?

6. American Soldier

This music video is very personal and real to me in more ways than one. My husband is in the military, and these are realities that we deal with every day. However, nothing can make you more prouder than to serve your country! This music video is a tender, yet harsh reminder of the good, bad and ugly that comes with serving one’s country, and the pride that goes with it!

7. Back to December

I’m sure that everyone has that moment in their life they wish they could go back to and do differently. I think that’s what this music video is all about. Regrets and wishes, second chances that never happened. It’s a sad song, but sung with closure, which is something that some of us never do get, making it one of my favorite music videos.
These Music Videos are just a few of MY personal favorites, but I know you will love them too! Music videos can help you to better understand a songs meaning while bringing you to a personal level with the singer and songwriter. What are some of your own favorite music videos?

4. Juno

The Juno soundtrack is actually really folky. Typically, I’m not the hugest fan of folky music, but bands like The Kinks, The Velvet Underground and kimya dawson have totally changed my mind! This is totally one of the few movie soundtracks that I listen to at least four times a week.

5. All Over the Guy

All Over the Guy is actually a great movie. It’s a romantic comedy that, if you like Dan Bucatinsky, you’ll love! It’s funny, quirky and has some kick butt music on the movie soundtracks. Artists like Peter Stuart and Matthew Sweet really make this soundtrack one of my favorites.

8. 8 Mile

Eminem is totally my idol. I love everything about the guy (including that he is from my home state!), but his music is the best. 8 Mile was the only movie he’s been in to date and the soundtrack kicks butt. It’s got rap, original songs and some spice to it. BUY IT, it’s totally worth the money!

9. 17 Again

I absolutely love Zac Efron guys. He’s my guilty pleasure and his voice? Makes me melt! So it makes sense that I’d choose a movie soundtrack from a movie he’s in. This soundtrack has everything from Young MC all the way to Santigold! It’s truly a great mix of music!

8 Wise Tips on How to Avoid Overspending …

8 Wise Tips on How to Avoid Overspending …
Avoiding overspending has never been more important than in the current economic crisis. Of course, being smart with money matters at any time, but considering the lack of job security that´s now common, it´s essential to Avoid Overspending and conserve your resources. So here are some wise tips to help you avoid overspending …

1. Essentials First

Avoiding overspending starts with the basics. What are the essential living costs that you have to pay? Before you spend on frivolous items, make sure that you have your rent and bills covered. Once that´s taken care of, you know how much remains and that you won´t have to worry about paying the bills because you´ve overspent.

2. Cash Is King

If you want to avoid overspending when you go shopping, don´t take your credit cards ´just in case´. If you do, it´s all too tempting to pull them out when you see something you like, or spend more in the supermarket because you have your cards. So take a fixed amount of cash, then you won´t be tempted to spend more.

3. Financial Exam

Keep a spending diary, and look at where your money is actually going. You might be unpleasantly surprised at how much you spend on takeaway coffees or nights out. Carrying out a close examination of your finances and identifying spending patterns will help you stop wasting money.

4. Budget

If you know you´ll have a big expense coming up, like getting your car repaired, budget for it. Put the money aside, or save a regular amount, so that when the time comes you haven´t spent all your money on something else, and can easily pay for what you need.

5. Think Twice

Yes, we´ve all done it – gone into a store, seen something we loved, and bought it because it might not be there next time. But be honest – can you really not live without it? Walking away and thinking about whether you really like it – and can afford it – may well stop you spending money that you can´t afford on something you don´t need.

6. Smart Sales

Remember that something is not a bargain just because it´s reduced in price. In this winter´s sales, I bought one thing I needed, and one thing I loved. Neither were expensive, and I´ve already got a lot of use out of them. I wasn´t tempted by anything else, so I didn´t waste money on buying things ´just because they were cheap´.

7. Online Is Out

Online shopping is undoubtedly a great convenience, but it´s also a terrible temptation to overspend. With just a click, you can add another item to your virtual basket, plus you reason that you might as well order more because you´re paying the postage costs anyway. So be very careful with online shopping.

8. What´s in The Cupboard?

Before buying new clothes or other items, whether large or small, check whether you already have something like it. Yes, the ´Six Black Skirts´ syndrome. Occasionally it makes sense to stock up on things you know you´ll use, if they´re at a bargain price, but in general beware of buying more of the same.
It´s really vital to avoid overspending, because this financial crisis is not going to be over in a hurry. Besides, spending beyond one´s means was one of the reasons why the problems started. So be smart with your money, spend wisely and save where you can. What´s the best method you´ve found for avoiding Overspending?

Tips to Keep Your Teeth White

When you smile the first thing that other people see are your teeth. So if your teeth aren’t as white as you would like them, you probably avoid smiling or showing your teeth. White, sparking teeth have become a sign of beauty in today’s society. However, this trend has been along time coming. In ancient Egypt white teeth were a sign of beauty and wealth. Now it is something that everyone desires especially due to the overabundance of food, drinks and bad habits that can stain deteriorate and destroy your teeth. If you are looking to preserve that dazzling smile and keep your teeth white here are a few tips to maintain your pearly whites.
  1. Avoid food and drinks that stain your teeth. Red wine, coffee, soda, tea, blueberries, and tomato sauce are all teeth staining food. Most people eat or drink these types of food on a daily basis and overtime will end up with discolored teeth. By opting for a different choice of food or drink you can avoid staining your teeth. In addition the acidity of some of these foods can actually be very harmful to the teeth. Carbonated drinks like soda contain phosphorus, which leach calcium from our teeth. Overtime this leads to weakened teeth and ultimately causes tooth loss. Although, most people are unwilling to give up some of these cherished beverages, drinking through a straw can bypass the front teeth to minimize the affects of staining.
  2.  Appropriate oral hygiene is one of the ways to maintain healthy teeth and gums and a bright white smile. Brushing and flossing your teeth at least 2 times a day can eliminate plaque build up and harmful germs that can cause discoloration and tooth decay. It is also recommended to brush your teeth immediately after eating or drinking highly acidic foods and foods that can stain your teeth. Also, using atooth whitening toothpaste can help to keep your teeth white rather than using a tooth whiting kit or procedure at the dentist.
  3. Stop smoking. Regardless of all the other harmful effects that smoking can have on your health, it is just as bad for your teeth. Smoking can discolor your teeth from the nicotine, as well as give you bad breath and cause oralcancer and gum disease. Smoking cigarettes deteriorates the bone of teeth and can cause tooth loss in the long run.
  4. Chew your food appropriately. Fruits and vegetables that require a lot of chewing actually act as an abrasive material that scrubs the teeth as you chew. Much like a tooth brush apples, celery, carrots, and cucumbers clean the teeth while being chewed. In addition lettuce, spinach and broccoli can prevent stains by adding a protective film onto teeth after eaten.
  5. Stop bad habits such as biting your nails, using your teeth to open things and clenching your teeth. These bad habits can cause unseen damage to your teeth. Teeth are protected by a thin layer of enamel that can be worn away over time through exposure to environment factors. When you bite your nails, try to use your teeth to open a bottle or clench your teeth the enamel can be chipped away, which exposes the soft underlying dentin. This can cause teeth sensitivity and tooth pain. The dentin is more easily damaged than enamel, which can rapidly progress to tooth or gum disease. When you chip away the enamel, your teeth can look uneven.
  6. Don’t do drugs. Drugs cannot only cause other side effects within the body and ultimately death but they also can harm your teeth as well. Ecstasy and cocaine are two drugs that can have major effects on the teeth. By spreading cocaine on your gums you are restricting blood, oxygen and nutrients from flowing into the gums and teeth. Gums hold your teeth in place, so by using cocaine you weaken the ability of the gums to hold your teeth in place. Ecstasy users are a different story. Because of the psychedelic effects that ecstasy can have on its users, many end up having muscle spasms and clenching their teeth. This wears away at the enamel and eventually the underlying dentin.

8 Super Effective Organizing Tips You Will Love …

8 Super Effective Organizing Tips You Will Love …
Organizing Tips for keeping your home, desk, car, and life in order are just what you need to start this year out right! I Love organizing tips because they inspire me to continue to work at staying neat and clean. I’m actually a very organized person by nature, but we can all use encouragement, right? That’s what I’m going to do for you today! Keep on reading this article for some of the very best organizing tips to keep your things in their place and make your life go that much smoother!

1. Start Small

Organization doesn’t happen overnight, so don’t try and force it. Start out small and take your time. Instead of tackling your whole house in one day, or even a whole room, choose one small area. It could be a desk, a closet, a shelf or a cabinet. You’d be surprised at how big of an impact the little things can have!

2. Put Things Away

One of my favorite organizing tips of all time is to have a place for everything and everything in its place. And not only that, but putting things away as you use them. Instead of kicking off your shoes in the hall, put them in the closet. Don’t leave your bowl on the coffee table, put it in the dishwasher. Toss your towel into the hamper instead of leaving it on the floor. It’s organizing tips like this that will help you stay on top of your game!

3. De-clutter

If you want an organizing tip that will really make a dent in the clutter you have laying around, here it is: Toss it out! I’m serious, grab yourself a few trash bags and go through your home. If it doesn’t fit anymore, you don’t use it, Love it, or need it, then it goes in the bag. Then toss out the bag without looking inside of it for second thoughts. You will be creating a more organized and much cleaner atmosphere to live in!

4. Use Containers

I love this organizing tip! It has worked for me since I was a freshman in high school. Use containers to organize everything. Little caddy’s underneath the bathroom sink will hold your hairspray, deodorant and toothpaste. Baskets in the hall closet will sort your pillowcases, towels, and sheets. Tupperware containers in drawers can organize your tape, glue, stamps and other office supplies. A dish on the front table will give your keys, wallet and phone a home.

5. Use a Pin-board

Our family uses this organizing tip to keep our schedules in order. A pin board in the kitchen holds a calendar with all our scheduled events, post-it notes to remind us of things we need to do and lists of stuff to pick up. You should try this system, it really helps to make sure you don’t miss appointments and meetings!

6. Tackle Projects Early on

When people ask me for advice on getting started, here is the organizing tip I give them. Get started on your projects early on in the day. The longer you put it off, the harder it will be to complete it. As the day drags on, so will you. Get your Organizing done as early on as you can, then use the rest of the day doing stuff that you actually WANT to do!

7. Do Things Ahead of Time

When it comes to things that I have committed to or stuff I know I have to do the next day, I like to have as much of it done ahead of time as possible. I lay out my clothes for work the night before, I prepare lunches for the next day the night before, and I take care of any other small task I can get out of the way before I need to walk out the door. This system instills discipline and also keeps me sane, on time, and of course, organized!

8. Use a Rotational System

Sometimes, it doesn’t matter how much you organize, de-clutter and clean up, those closets still stay in disarray. When that happens, here is an organizing tip you can pull out of the hat. Use a rotational system! You put your seasonal clothes in storage during alternate months! Winter and fall clothes can be stored during summer and spring, and vice versa. This little system will give you a lot more space and freedom!
There you have it, 8 Organizing Tips that will keep you on your toes and your home expertly clean! Organizing tips don’t have to be long and drawn out, and neither does the process of Organizing. You just have to start out small and go from there! What are some of your top organizing tips?

8 Stylish Ways to Upcycle an Old Shirt …

8 Stylish Ways to Upcycle an Old Shirt …
Stylish Ways to Upcycle an Old Shirt will show you how to make something quite fashionable out of something that you’re about to throw out. Yes, there are many ways to repurpose an old shirt but the list we have here are fashion-related. I will make another list of other fun uses for shirts another time; for now, let’s take a look at these stylish methods to upcycle an old shirt.

1. Scarf

This is a fantastic way to upcycle an old shirt, especially for those who are being tortured by Father Winter. There are several ways that you can accomplish this, too. I like the way Katelyn did hers. With a beautiful combination of two shirts, braids, and twists, she got a tee scarf that looks very pretty.

2. One-Shoulder Ruffle Top

Feeling like making something sexy and girly? Then this one-shoulder ruffle top is the old shirt upcycle project for you. The steps in simplified terms: hack shoulder off shirt, cut strips of same shirt to make ruffles, sew ruffles, rock your new repurposed top.

3. Necklace

The shirt used for the tutorial we’re linking to here is not the knit type but you can easily use one for this project. Aside from pearls, you can also add crystal beads and charms, if you want something more colorful and fun.

4. Headband

Oh wow, so easy and so much fun! I suggest that you and your girl friends get together and tackle this chic way to upcycle your old shirts. Make some for adults but don’t forget the cutie little girls in your life, too.

5. Cropped Tank or Vest

This tutorial by Love Maegan will not take you more than half an hour to follow. Bonus: no sewing involved. Among these stylish ways to upcycle an old shirt, I will most probably tackle this soon-ish. I have a few oversized shirts lying around somewhere.

6. Bracelet

To match your tee necklace, why don’t you make a bracelet, too? From the creative lady who shows us how: …these bracelets are so snuggly and soft you don’t even know you’re wearing it. So awesome.

7. Scarf/Necklace

I know, I know, I already listed down tutes for a scarf and a necklace but I just had to include this. Because THIS particular old shirt repurpose will give you both a scarf and a necklace in one. And the strips look so chic that it will be a DIY infraction not to try this project.

8. Fabric Flowers

Oh the many uses these fabric flowers have! You can use them as brooches, headband embellishments, and more. Pin them on your bag, scarf, or even a fabric belt. Among these stylish ways to upcycle shirts, this particular project will give you several amazing styling options.
Tell me, have you tried some of these old shirt upcycled projects? If you want to share the stuff you’ve made, don’t hesitate to link to your blog. While you check out these tutorials, I shall take out my scissors and try to make my own tank top from an old shirt.

7 Closet Organizing Tips …

loset Organizing Tips …

7 Closet Organizing Tips …
Closet organizing tips are helpful any time, but especially if you’re thinking about doing some spring cleaning. If your closets look like mine you are probably in need of some closet organization Tips for sure. If you get nervous that something is going to come crashing down on your head whenever you open up the doors to your closet or afraid you are going to walk into your large closet and never make it out again, then don’t worry. I’ve put together a list of tips for closet organization to get us all back on track and out of mayhem.

1. Let It Go

One of the first closet organizing tips is also the most painful for many people. Let’s be real, if you haven’t worn it or it hasn’t fit since mischa barton left the O.C., it’s time to let it go. If it has holes, weird strains, or just don’t like it, move on. There is no need to hold onto things you don’t absolutely love and enjoy wearing. Get rid of that old stuff and make room for new fabulous things you will actually wear.

2. Sort Clothes

I noticed whenever I see fancy organized closets on television or in magazines everything is neatly sorted. It makes finding your things so much easier. You want your shirts, pants, dresses, and skirts all hung together, but that’s not all. Take it a step further and hang all everything together by color. This way when you are looking for your red button up blouse you know exactly where to find it.

3. Keep to The Season

Here’s one of the best Tips for closet organization. Save room and help organize your closet by putting seasonal things away. Buy vacuum suction bags and store winter items in the top of your closet on a shelf, under the bed or in the attic. When the weather cools off you can pull out your scarfs and sweaters and put away your shorts and tanks.

4. Use All Space

Look at your closet. Once you have the rack filled with our color coded and sorted clothes you will see you still have a bit of empty space. Use bins to store extra items on the shelf above the clothes rack. Install shelves on the floor to use up that empty space as well. These are perfect areas to store your accessories and shoes. Most of all don’t forget the back of the door. Use a shoe organizer or hooks.

5. Labels

This is a fantastic closet organization tip. If you are going to use bins and boxes be sure to label each one. It saves time when you know exactly what shoes or item is in each box. Use sticky notes for your boxes. If you are keeping shoes in boxes you can use a polaroid camera to take pictures of the shoes and place the picture outside the box. Another option is to use clear boxes so you can see in without having to open it.

6. Right Hangers

There are so many different hanger types out there. This is one of the closet organizing tips lots of experts suggest: try using the same type of hangers. You should really avoid the metal hangers from the dry-cleaners. They can misshape clothes and ruin them.

7. Keep It Clean

Once your closet is organized and clean, keep it up. Put things back where they belong. Hang things up that you try on and decide not to wear and get rid of things as they become old and worn. Once you have an organized closet keeping it clean should be easy.
I hope these closet organizing tips will help you get your closet out of disarray and back in order. I can’t wait to get mine straightened up. Do you have any closet organization tips to help us all out?
