3. Be yourself!

Just like being honest will Impress a guy, being yourself, not putting on little acts, will make him happy, too. Who wants to date a phony, or find out later that the girl they’ve been dating isn’t who he thought she was?

4. Be secure in the bedroom

You’re an adult. You know what you want in life, from a companion, and especially in the bedroom. Men aren’t mind-readers any more than we are, so why waste his time and yours with guesswork between the sheets?

5. Show your hidden talents

If you can sing, sing! If you know Spanish, order your meal from Mexican Town in Spanish! If you can dance, shake your booty! Impress your man with your unique, hidden talent. He’ll be pleasantly surprised and you’ll get a chance to show off a little.

6. Keep financially stable

No-one wants to be burdened with someone else’s financial irresponsibility, so impress your guy, and save yourself a lot of undue stress by keeping your financial ducks in a tidy row.

This is one bit of drama men don’t understand, and certainly don’t like. If you have a frenemy, now’s the time to ditch the bitch and impress your guy.

There’s nothing wrong with showing your love and affection, but guys don’t like girls who are overly clingy. It screams of insecurity, something no-one but emotional predators find attractive.

9. Know a little about cars

I’m not sure what it is with guys and their cars, but if you’re still wondering how to Impress a guy, go for broke and educate yourself a little about cars, in particular, his favorite cars. Or if he’s into racing, or classic cars, show an interest in that, too. Don’t force yourself though. If you’re just not interested, he’ll be able to tell, and it won’t impress him — he’ll find it annoying.

10. Know a little about sports

How to give a good impression with your style!

How to give a good impression with your style!
fashion is just one important part of a girl’s life. Without fashion we wouldn’t be able to leave a good impression on our crush, interviewer or anyone else we happen to meet. We want to look admirable to give that first impression without any words. Lets face it, when you look good its easier to appear as valuable. And do you know why it’s easier? It’s because we feel more confident in ourselves when we are well-dressed! But just like anything else, fashion has its dos and don’t s. Here are some basic but essential guidelines to follow:

1. Be Classy!

Don’t go wearing the shortest skirt or the tightest dress just because you heard that less is more. Trust me this saying does not make you come across as classy. Wear enough clothes so you look modest but flaunt your features at the same time. For example if you have long legs wear a skirt above the knee and lengthen those legs with a pair of heels.

2. Wear what suits you

This standard is pretty simple. Wear something that flatters your body shape. If you have an hourglass figure wear a dress with a waist belt to accentuate your figure. Also wear something that YOU are comfortable in. If the new trend is frilly dresses and you don’t like frills, don’t follow the trend. If you’re not comfortable in what you’re wearing, you’re not going to feel confident. So ditch the trend, cause you will rock whatever look!

3. Hide what you don’t have

This might sound a little harsh. You may like your classy *ss or your juicy breasts but sometimes flaunting them too much won’t give you the respect you deserve. If you’re going to a wedding or a formal work party you shouldn’t wear a push-up bra if you’re an E cup. Trust me, they are good enough without the push-up bra. Instead of wearing a v-neck dress to make your breasts appear larger, wear a one-shoulder dress that covers your cleavage so that not all the attention goes to your boobs. It might be a little uncomfortable talking to your handsome boss when he’s looking at your boobs.

4. Dress for the occasion

Quick and easy. You wouldn’t wear a full length dress to your gym class; that’s a little strange. If you want to give a splendid impression on your first date with a cute guy, dress for the occasion. Don’t wear heels if you know you love birds will be walking around all day and don’t wear jeans and a casual top to a fancy dinner date in the city.

5. Accessorize!

Accessorize is a magic word. You can make a casual dress look so much more glamorous with a pretty necklace, make a contrast with colors and by mix and matching different textured fabrics! You can never go wrong with a cute beret to give your look a French feel. Without accessories, there would be no style.
So ladies if you follow my top 5 tips, you are guaranteed success!

This might seem like a silly suggestion for a travel essential, but I know people who pack full size products on trips! Let’s face it, we usually do some shopping on trips and full-size toiletries take up prime suitcase real estate.

10. Double Duty Makeup

Instead of taking your whole makeup bag, take 2-in-1 products or palettes that will make your load lighter and provide you with options without the bulk. While traveling, you’re likely going to have casual days as well as night out so be sure to pick products that will work for both day and night looks. This should be an easy one; we ladies know how to pick our beauty Essentials for travel!
Don’t forget your oral hygiene tools as well as cotton balls and cotton buds which are travel essentials before you head out the door. I hope you found this list helpful — keep it handy the next time you’re packing! And let me know, what are your must-have travel items?

8 Steps to Build Confidence …

8 Steps to Build Confidence …
How to build confidence? As women, the question of self-esteem is one that weaves itself in to the fibers of our lives from a very young age and only grows in importance as we do. From career, to relationships, to body image and personal achievements, the truth is that the level we believe in ourselves and the effort we put toward building confidence affects every aspect of who we are, how we live and what we accomplish. With that in mind, here are 8 invaluable tips for learning to Build Confidence.

1. Fake It until It Fits

While it may sound counter-intuitive, behaving consistently with self-assurance, even when you may not necessarily feel it, is one of the most defining ways to build confidence. Expressing an air of esteem in your words, thoughts and body language, even if it is essentially acting, establishes the behavioral patters that eventually become natural habit, instinctively building confidence. A bright smile, good posture, even a little swagger can go a long way… your heart and mind will follow your lead.

2. Clean up Your Self-Talk

If you are interested in building confidence, you need to consider the detrimental effects of negative self-talk. As women, we can be truly ruthless against ourselves, criticizing everything from the way we look to our performance at work to the dynamics of our relationships. This type of thinking is not only unproductive, it’s incredibly damaging to our self-esteem. Moving forward, focus on how to develop confidence using self-talk in a healthy, dynamic way – while it is important to hold ourselves accountable, the key is to frame your thoughts positively and encourage yourself with love. Step one? Telling your own worst critic that she is so fired.

3. Focus on Your Fans

When learning how to build confidence do not underestimate the power of surrounding yourself with positive influences. Whether family members, friends, romantic partners or co-workers, your fans are the people who love, cherish and appreciate your many amazing qualities – an invaluable resource in the process of developing and maintaining your positive self-image. Connect with your fan base to draw from their positive impressions of you and to remind yourself of all the important relationships in your life worthy of your self-assurance. As like attracts like, the more you grow your own esteem, the more you will attract equally wonderful people to share your happiness with.

4. List Your Achievements

Through the highs and lows of life we can easily lose track of how far we have come and all that we have accomplished on our journey. As you continue developing confidence, take time to reflect on the many challenges you have overcome, and the many beautiful achievements you have earned throughout the years. Have you experienced success in your career? Are you raising a family? Have you taken on a fitness challenge or mastered the art of cooking? Make your list today – each success is a step toward building confidence and it will likely surprise you how much you have truly achieved. Not to mention, re-discovering how fabulous you are never gets old.

5. Play to Your Strengths

Knowing how to build confidence comes in large part from knowing your own strengths. Are you extremely outgoing? Do you have a great sense of humor? Having a clear understanding of the personal attributes that enable and empower your success gives you an opportunity to play to your strong side and more easily manage your weaknesses. None of us can be all things to all people, instead focus your efforts on connecting with situations in a way that flatters you and you will naturally feel more confident in each interaction.

6. Try New Things

Exploring life outside your comfort zone is hugely beneficial when building confidence. While engaging the same activities every day can have a stagnant effect on our self-esteem, learning or trying something new offers the opposite advantages, revving our creativity, increasing our sense of purpose and promoting a feeling of pride in our efforts. If you are determining how to build confidence, try taking on a fresh challenge beyond your usual routine – learn that second language, explore the local museum or train for your first marathon… each dynamic experience, with its own challenges and achievements, will serve to enhance your feelings of self-assurance.

7. Redefine Your Failures

How to build confidence? Redefine what it means to fail. So often, people look at the trials in their lives with harsh judgement, painfully labeling their struggles as mistakes, inadequacies and downfalls. Though it is natural to reflect on some experiences with disappointment or regret, in order to continue developing confidence, try looking at past and present errors with a new perspective – focus on what your life lessons have taught you, how much you have grown through the process of learning, and how happy you are to have overcome that obstacle. As Winston Churchill once said, «Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.»

8. Know Your Worth

Ladies, here is an equation we all need to remember: how much we love our lives is typically a direct reflection of how much we love ourselves. If you want to know how to build confidence, ask yourself if you truly value your own worth as you should. Many women confuse feeling worthy with arrogance or self-absorption… The difference is that believing in yourself relates to the meaningful qualities you have to offer – intelligence, kindness, love and humor, for example. Celebrating, pampering and most importantly, respecting your worth are all significant parts of the hunt for greater self-esteem. At work, in your relationships, even in your day to day routine, strive to honor yourself and interact in ways that promote and recognize your immense value. You deserve it!
Building confidence is an evolving process that tends to move in highs and lows with our life changes and events. There are many strategies you can implement to improve or maintain your self-esteem, and there is no better time to recognize how valuable you are and acknowledge how much a strong self worth can enhance your life. While true assurance comes from within, knowing how to build confidence will encourage the process and keep you on the right track. How do you focus on keeping up your self-esteem?

1. Cheating

I hate to break it to you, but sometimes, one of the reasons why men leave is because they are cheating on you. I’m not saying every guy cheats, nor am I saying that this is one of the top reasons why men leave, but it does happen. If you suspect that your man is cheating, bring it up to him, talk to him about it and see what happens.
2. Dishonesty

A man likes to know that he can trust his girlfriend. The second that something goes amiss or he suspects dishonesty, it can create a riff. Being dishonest with your man can be over something little or something big. For example, lying about your age is no different than lying about your past. If you’re honest with your man, it’ll be ten times better for your relationship!
3. Jealousy

If you’re insecure about your guy leaving you and you’re constantly trying to make him jealous to prove that he likes you more – it could be one of the reasons he leaves you. Guys like to feel secure in their relationship and if a girl is constantly boiling up jealous feelings, it can make a lot of tension. So ladies, chill out on the jealousy and just be secure in your relationship!
4. Indifference

Typically, when a guy actually enters into a relationship and things get serious, he constantly is seeking his girlfriend’s approval. If you’re constantly indifferent and don’t get excited when he is, it could mean that he is on his way out the door. Remember, a guy has a really sensitive ego, so make sure that you give in sometimes and mirror his moods!
5. Constant Nagging

Nagging in a relationship is going to happen. It’s one thing to nag though and another to constantly nag about everything. The Better Half and I have this discussion all the time. Ladies, if he’s doing or not doing something that you need, talk to him about it in a calm way, don’t nag him about it constantly.
6. Negativity

Bad days happen to everyone. I had one recently that was just horrific! If you are constantly having bad days though and are constantly negative, it might be time to stop taking it out on your man and to take some much needed girl time!
7. She’s Unappreciative

Finally, if your man is feeling ignored, if he is feeling that he isn’t appreciated, it’s definitely one of the top reasons for him to leave. Men like to know that their women love them and that they are appreciated! So ladies, show ‘em some love!

There are tons of reasons why men leave, but these are the top 7. If you have a feeling that your man might be looking for a reason to leave, take a look at this list and see if these are any of the reasons! Do you have any other reasons why men leave to add to the list? Did I miss any?

7 Simple but Unbelievably Effective Homemade Acne Cleansers …

7 Simple but Unbelievably Effective Homemade Acne Cleansers …
Home Acne Treatments not only work well, but they save money. They can also be less abrasive than marketed Cleansers. Let’s be real, fighting Acne is a pain, but these 7 Homemade acne cleansers are safe for your skin, easy on the wallet, and just overall awesome. The good thing about home acne treatments is they often use natural products instead of harsh chemicals found in over-the-counter or prescription acne treatments, making them ideal for sensitive skin. So, if you want to learn to make your own home acne treatments, keep reading!

1. Olive Oil

I know it seems crazy to put oil on your already oily acne prone skin. Olive oil has been used for many years as a cleanser and works wonders as home acne treatment. For best results pour a small amount of olive oil onto your hands and massage deeply into the skin. Allow the oil to sit for at least 3 minutes, then place a steamy towel over the face. The Steam will help pull impurities out of your pores. After the towel cools use it to wipe away the remaining oil.

2. Castor Oil

Castor oil works the same way as olive oil for a home acne cleanser. The reason why these oils work as facial cleansers is because skin naturally contains oil. Many of the cleanser we buy are branded as “oil-free.” water doesn’t dissolve oil, oil dissolves oil. When the oils from the skin are removed, the body creates even more oil creating oily skin, or it may react by not creating any oil and thus leaving your skin dry. It makes sense to use oil to help gently remove the dirt and oil from your face to help clear acne.

3. Baking Soda

Baking soda works two ways as an at home acne treatment. First it exfoliates the skin by buffing away dead skin and opening up clogged pores. Another way is the alkaline substance of baking soda kills off bacteria in the skin that causes acne. To use baking soda, wet your face and then create a paste with baking soda and water in your hand. Massage the paste into your face gently for one minute. Finish by rinsing with cool water and patting dry.

4. Oatmeal

Oatmeal is not only good for your body, it does wonders for you skin too. Oatmeal is naturally high in vitamins which makes it perfect to reduce redness and inflammation caused by acne. Create your own at acne treatment by soaking ? a cup of oatmeal in 1 cup of boiling water. After the oatmeal mixture has cooled, apply it to your face and gently massage the skin. After one to two minutes rinse off the oatmeal.

5. Honey

Honey is another terrific at home acne treatment. Honey contains antibacterial properties and can help hydrate the skin. You can create a Simple honey mask just by massaging natural honey into the skin and allowing it to sit for 15 to 30 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. One way to enjoy this mask is to apply it before soaking in a warm bath after a long day at work for a little rest and relaxation.

6. Steaming

Steam opens the pores and allows the impurities to escape. Boil a pot of water and then let it cool for a few minutes. Hang your face over the cooled pot of water with a towel draped over your head to trap the steam in. After 10 minutes you can remove the towel and dry the steam off your face.

7. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has been used as an at home cure for many different things over the years. Because apple cider vinegar is unprocessed and contains many natural properties it works wonders as an at home Acne treatment. To use, mix one part apple cider vinegar with 3 parts water. Dab the mixture onto the face with a cotton ball. Using home acne treatments is so much better for your skin. And as you can see, there are many ways to treat acne naturally at home. Let me know if you tried any of these 7 home acne treatments. Also, do you have recipes for any other home acne treatments you’d like to share?

10 Negative Things You Should Stop Saying …

10 Negative Things You Should Stop Saying …
Negative Things You Should Stop Saying run the gamut between different subjects. It’s no secret that there are negative things you should stop saying. We all have them! Little things we say to ourselves or to others only serve to hinder us rather than help us out. And it’s not because you hate yourself! Most people don’t even realize the effect their negative comments have. So that’s why I’m writing this list of negative things you should stop saying! Instead, replace them with positive, encouraging and uplifting comments. And yes, you can direct them to yourself! Hey, we all need a boost every now and then, right? And who better to give it to you than your own lovely self! So here are 10 negative things you should stop saying!

1. “I’m Such a Failure.”

Telling yourself that you are a failure will result in you believing this and causing you to fail when you may have actually had a chance of success. Maybe you haven’t necessarily succeeded at everything in your life, but that doesn’t make you a complete failure. So tell yourself that you can do it and then believe it! You will be surprised at your rate of success when you believe in yourself.

2. “Look How Fat I Am.”

One of the negative things you should stop saying centers around your weight. Many times, women perceive themselves to be fatter than they really are. Don’t dwell on it! Instead, make healthy eating choices and get active. Men are more attracted to confident girls who feel comfortable in their own skin so stop saying how fat you are and instead mention the progress that you’ve made toward your ideal weight goal!

3. “You Never……”

When you find yourself in the middle of a disagreement with someone you love, refrain from starting sentences with these two accusing words. That’s a something negative you should stop saying! When you point fingers at someone, they are more likely to get defensive. Instead of saying “You never take out the trash when I ask you to,” say “I feel like you don’t care to help me out with the chores.” This puts the accusatory light completely in the middle of you both instead of right on one of you.

4. “It’s too Stressful to Handle.”

Yes, things may be stressful, but that doesn’t mean you can’t handle it. Telling yourself it’s too stressful to handle is one of the negative things you should stop saying. Instead, tell yourself that you are feeling challenged, but you will find a way out of it. This way you are admitting that it’s overwhelming, but you aren’t giving up!

5. “I’m Soooo Very Sorry.”

Yes, when you step on someone’s toe you should apologize, but there’s no need to OVER-apologize! Many women find themselves doing this and it’s not necessary. You decrease your self-worth by continuing to feel bad for some little flub. Go easy on yourself and let it go!

6. “I’m Such a Pig.”

One of the negative things you should stop saying is calling yourself a little piggy. So what if you had two brownies, a milkshake and a piece of pizza? It’s the weekend! You deserve to indulge, so do it! And even if you eat what you want every time, there’s no need to beat yourself up. Instead, tell yourself that the treat was yummy and let it go.

7. “It’s too Expensive.”

There are many families out there on a budget. I’ll admit to being on one myself! It’s good to be on a budget, it helps to save money you might otherwise spend on unnecessary things. Instead of feeling sorry that you can’t buy it, tell yourself that you are CHOOSING not to buy it. Then step back and work extra hard to save enough money or re-work your budget to afford it!

8. “I’ll Never Make It.”

Admitting defeat before the finish line guarantees you won’t make it. This is one of the negative things you should stop saying! Tell yourself that you CAN do it and you WILL make it! The more you believe in yourself, the more you will accomplish. And it will feel so good in the end!

9. “Why Can’t You Just Understand?”

When you say this to a friend or relative in the middle of a heated conversation, it doesn’t do you any good. It just prompts your debate partner to shoot the same question right back at you! Instead, try this approach. In a gentle tone, state your case and then say, “I hope you can understand things from my point of view. I realize we have different opinions, but maybe we can agree to disagree on this one.” Your friend will realize you have the upper hand!

10. “Leave Me Alone.”

This is one of the negative things you should stop saying! By using this phrase, you end up pushing away those who love you and are trying to help you. Then you are stuck keeping feelings and emotions bottled up. It’s best to talk it out so next time try and be open and talk through the situation.
This list of 10 negative things you should stop saying will help you if you will heed it! I’m sure we are all guilty of saying these phrases at one time or another, but it’s a habit we all need to strive to kick! By paying heed to these negative things you should stop saying, you increase your chances of success tenfold. Do you agree with my list of 10 negative things you should stop saying? 7 Ways to Thank Your Teacher …

7 Ways to Thank Your Teacher …
how to thank a teacher? Well, the first idea is obvious, so I’ll make it my last: just say thank you! But for the Teacher who’s gone above and beyond, and been a big influence on you or your child, there are so many other ways to show your appreciation and gratitude. Here are 7 ways to thank a teacher.

1. Recommend them

Sure, it’s nice to tell your friends and family and all of Facebook how much you adore your teacher, but surely it will mean a lot more to tell their principal, dean, or other administrators. Better yet, put it in writing, so when it comes time for a performance review, your favorite teacher will have proof of just how good they are.

2. Remember them

My own favorite teachers were all three English teaches (Mrs. Doran, Warren, and Ilges), and I think the best way I can thank them is by holding dear their memories, and working in a way that honors them. Whenever I finish a writing project, I review it with a critical eye, and ask myself what they would think, and if they would approve.

3. Send a gift

Who doesn’t love to receive a thank-you card or gift? Of course, that includes teachers! It doesn’t have to be a pricey gift, just something small and sentimental, or just a card itself. Do they really need another Teacher ornament or apple paperweight? No, but I’m sure each one they have means a lot to them.

4. Write a note

Like I mentioned above, sometimes the best way to thank a teacher is to give a gift or a card, or better yet, a personally hand-written note. Just write down your gratitude and appreciation, and either mail the note, or deliver it to the school.

5. Dedicate your work

If you become an artist or a writer, why not thank the teacher who inspired you by dedicating your work to that teacher? I plan to dedicate a book to my high school English teachers, once I write one that’s worthy of them.

6. StoryCorps

On September 19, storycorps kicked off the National teachers initiative, recording the stories of teachers and their students in 40-minute interviews. The interviews will be archived with other StoryCorps interviews at the Library of Congress. Find out more, including how to participate, at storycorps.org.

7. Say thank you!

Aside from all of the above things, obviously, the best way to thank a Teacher is to just say thank you! A big hug is nice, too, wouldn’t you agree?
With so many ways to thank a teacher, there’s no reason to delay! Get out there with this list, and say thank you! (Mrs. Doran, if you’re reading this: thank you!) If you’re a teacher, which of these ways would you like to be thanked? Or is there something else we students and ex-students can do to show our love? Do tell!

9 Best and Extremely Charming Movie Soundtracks That I Love …

9 Best and Extremely Charming Movie Soundtracks That I Love …
Movie Soundtracks are so much fun to listen to! Whether I am blasting my favorite movie soundtracks in the car or on my iPod, movie soundtracks always get me in an awesome mood! So that, of course, inspired a post. Below are some of my all-time favorite movie soundtracks!

1. Empire Records

Why wouldn’t Empire Records be on there? The movie is awesome, the soundtrack is even better and it’s a constant in my CD player in my car! Have you checked out this soundtrack yet? Do it! It’s so worth it!

2. The Wedding Singer

I love anything Adam Sandler. Not only is he friggin’ awesome, but this soundtrack? It’s incredible! If you’ve seen the movie and love Adam Sandler, this is totally one of the best movie soundtracks for you!

3. Armageddon

I cried my eyes out at this movie – and I relive it every single time I listen to the movie soundtracks. It’s got sounds like ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing’ and ‘Starseed’ on it – both of which are incredible! It’s a true tribute to Aerosmith ladies, give it a try!

4. Juno

The Juno soundtrack is actually really folky. Typically, I’m not the hugest fan of folky music, but bands like The Kinks, The Velvet Underground and kimya dawson have totally changed my mind! This is totally one of the few movie soundtracks that I listen to at least four times a week.

5. All Over the Guy

All Over the Guy is actually a great movie. It’s a romantic comedy that, if you like Dan Bucatinsky, you’ll love! It’s funny, quirky and has some kick butt music on the movie soundtracks. Artists like Peter Stuart and Matthew Sweet really make this soundtrack one of my favorites.

6. American Beauty

I think that American Beauty is one of those movies that is absolutely beautiful. It is a visual masterpiece – but the music is awesome too. It has artists from all over the place and the songs are incredible!

7. Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist

You know from the name of the movie that the soundtrack is gonna be awesome. Whether you are looking for bands like We Are Scientists all the way to Bishop Allen, this soundtrack has it all! I love the mix, mingle and the fact that I can dance to it!

8. 8 Mile

Eminem is totally my idol. I love everything about the guy (including that he is from my home state!), but his music is the best. 8 Mile was the only movie he’s been in to date and the soundtrack kicks butt. It’s got rap, original songs and some spice to it. BUY IT, it’s totally worth the money!

9. 17 Again

I absolutely love Zac Efron guys. He’s my guilty pleasure and his voice? Makes me melt! So it makes sense that I’d choose a movie soundtrack from a movie he’s in. This soundtrack has everything from Young MC all the way to Santigold! It’s truly a great mix of music!
These are just a few of my favorite movie soundtracks. I totally wouldn’t be able to live without any of these movie soundtracks! What about you ladies, how about you share your guilty pleasures with me? Come on, what movie soundtracks do you fall for every time?

8 Things to see in Paris …

8 Things to see in Paris …
Paris – just the name conjures up romance, luxury and beauty. There is so much to see in the City of Lights that one could make countless visits and still discover more. Guidebooks tell you about the museums, the famous sites, where to stay and where to eat, but here are my suggestions for other things to see in paris.

1. The People

One of the most fascinating things about Paris is people-watching. When you’ve had enough of walking and seeing tourist sites, find one of the many delightful Parisian cafes. Sit down with a coffee and watch the world go by.

2. Cemeteries

cemeteries might seem like an odd thing to see in Paris, but they’re peaceful places to wander around. Everybody’s heard of the famous cemetery pere lachaise, but there are others in Paris where you can visit the great and the good, including Cimitiere Montparnasse (famous residents including serge gainsbourg).

3. Shop Windows

Paris is known for its sense of style, and the shop windows are proof of this. Whether it’s a fashion boutique or a patisserie, everything is displayed with flair, showing off the products to maximum advantage. Plus window-shopping is free!

4. Flea Markets

The most famous flea market is the one at St. Ouen, which has hundreds of antique dealers as well as stalls of the bric-a-brac variety (and lots of pickpockets, so do be careful). There are several others as well, such as porte de vanves and Marché au Puces d´Aligre – don’t miss a trip to one of them while you’re in Paris!

5. Parks

Paris has ample parks – some of them well-known, such as the jardins de luxembourg, others a little more off the beaten track. Among my favourites are the parc Montsouris, the Parc Aux Buttes-Chaumont and the Jardin des Plantes.

6. Unique Museums

There are other museums to see in Paris than the Louvre, impressive as it may be. I’ve spent some fun afternoons visiting lesser-known museums such as those dedicated to Freemasonry, forgery and the history of the police. The bonus is that they won’t be full of other tourists!

7. The Streets

In historic and beautiful cities such as Paris, one of the great pleasures is strolling around the fascinating streets. I recommend not having a fixed route in mind, but wandering down whatever street takes your fancy. If you see something that looks interesting, go and examine it more closely. Who knows what you might come across – an amazing restaurant or intriguing shop

8. The Views

It’s said that the best thing about the Tour Montparnasse is that if you’re in it, you don’t have to look at it! It’s worth going up one of the tall buildings to get the best views of Paris. If you don’t fancy the queues at the Tour Eiffel, head up to Sacre Coeur and Montmartre, where you’ll still see some wonderful vistas.
If you’re planning a trip to Paris, then these ideas show some of the wonderful things to see in paris. If you’re not planning a trip, then you definitely should, it’s amazing! What would you want to see in Paris – and if you have visited, what did you most enjoy?
